Voortman developed Raptor 3DCAD/CAM Software, which takes CNC innovation to the next level by allowing users to program more quickly and accurately. The 3D platform allows you to inspect, modify, and export part information. This, combined with Voortman CNC technology, means maximum fabricator capacity.

It is difficult to reduce the number of hours spent on steel fabrication. To increase their shop capacity or efficiency, fabricators worldwide use this tried-and-trued technology.

We have successfully installed over a thousand CNC beam and angle lines all around the globe. Our experience has shown that an average operator who has never programmed before can get the machine up and running in less time than one and a half days.

Voortman’s commitment to service and support is legendary and is the gold standard in the industry. Voortman offers a global team of customer support representatives that are always available at the Voortman 24 hour customer support center. Through state-of-the-art remote diagnostic software, readily available local field support, and the industry leading warranty, support from Voortman is only a call or a click away.

The ABCM-1250 CNC beam coping machines have a triple torch design that allows you to simultaneously cut two flanges. Flange thins can simultaneously be performed on top and bottom of flanges. However, weld preparation is done concurrently which reduces operating costs. The ABCM-1250 Ox-fuel Coper is a quick and easy way to cut near the flanges without having to torch probe.

METEOR-1200 will reduce your labor for drilling and on-site assembly. METEOR-1200 allows you to drill beams as well as angles, flatsheets and other appropriate geometry. State of the art control systems allow you to also mill slots, pocket and any geometry.

Bend-Tech Dragon A400 CNC tube marking, engraving, and cutting machine is commercial grade. Dragon A400, which is combined with the most powerful and efficient CAD/CAM Software in the World, will deliver the results you need with speed and accuracy.

Voortman allows you to upload a profile of your cope from either the built-in shape library, or CAD into the CNC software. You can then manually calibrate the cutting tolerances, nest parts to cope, and track robotic cutting routes before work starts. Voortman can then begin to work with perfection by simply loading the material and pressing the start button.

In the same way that the Voortman CNC Beam Drill Line and the Voortman Clipper CNC Angle Line brought affordable automation of beams and angles to the small-to-medium fabricator, the Voortman Liberator similarly brings automated beam coping into shops that otherwise could never have considered it.

The Voortman uses a specially designed torch nozzle that will typically last about 3 – 6 months depending on how hot you run the machine. Because of the break-away head that deflects the torch nozzle, the torch nozzle is almost impossible to bend. However, the nozzles eventually get worn out due to the heat of the gases passing through the nozzle. Replacement torch tips are around $75 per tip.

The top-of the line coping/profiler makes 3D coping a breeze. These Robotic Coping & Profiling beams are not just reliable, they are also designed to cut saddles, chamlers or slots.

Multiple axis positioning makes it possible to cut top and bottom sides simultaneously. With pivoting torches, flange beveling is easy for weld preparation.

Frequently Asked Questions

To remove more wood from the back, angle the coping saw 30 degrees. Pro tip: Trimmings that have been cut with coping cuts can often leave thin, pointed tips. To prevent them from splintering, support the tips with your finger while you file, cut, or sand. Pro tip: Keep your eyes on the outside of the line.

Coping, Latin for "coping", is the covering or capping of a wall. A wedge or splayed coping slopes in one direction. A saddle coping slopes to the opposite side of a central highpoint.

Reinforced concrete beams can be made by embedding steel bars along the lengths of structural members to increase their tensile strength. These beams are the most popular.

A coping saw, a type of bow-saw used to cut intricate exterior shapes and interior cuts in woodworking or carpentry, is referred to as a 'combo saw'. It is used for cutting moldings that create mitre or cope joints.

A coping, an architectural construction that is placed on top of a wall then runs down its sides, encasing bricks and providing weather protection, is called a coping. A capping is a covering that sits on top of the wall, with its edges aligned to the wall's width.
